VINTON - Phyllis Ann Borleske, wife of the Reverend Philip A. Borleske of Vinton, Iowa, died Ash Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab Center in Vinton following an extended illness.

Thomas Peter Chris Jensen, (father of Christine (Chris) Elliott of Vinton) age 99, died Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Vinton, Iowa.

Joseph F. Kozlik, 87, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following an extended illness.

Ruth E. Kray, 93, of Newhall, formerly of Garrison, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab in Cedar Rapids.

VINTON – Arthur Chapin Corbett 89, of Vinton died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.

VAN HORNE: Dean William Swenson, 78, died of cancer Friday, February 10, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Donald Wheeler, 81, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids from complications of heart disease.

Erma C. Kruger Fish, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point following a brief illness.

VINTON: Leroy James Stewart, 78, died peacefully in his sleep early Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012.

Larry Michel died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 from injuries sustained from a car accident. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
