Angelina Ahrenstein serves Girl Scout Cookie S'mores on Girl Scout Sunday.

Brownies, Juniors and Daisies of Girl Scout Troops 31 and 6652 celebrated Girl Scout Sunday at Blessed Hope Church on the evening of March 10.

The Scouts and their leaders served a meal of maid-rites, sloppy Joes and oven-baked S'mores (using Girl Scout Cookies and marshmallows) before joining church members in the monthly sing-along service, Sunday Night Live. The girls also sold some Girl Scout Cookies.

The Scouts opened and closed the church service by teaching the audience the Girl Scout Pledge and by showing how they end their meetings.

The Girl Scouts web site includes the following information about Girl Scout Sunday:

Girl Scout Sunday and Girl Scout Sabbath give girls an opportunity to attend their place of worship and be recognized as a Girl Scout. If a place of worship is the group sponsor, girls may perform a service, such as greeting, ushering, or doing a flag ceremony. These days can also be a time when girls explore other faiths.
