News :: $200,000 mark reached in fundraising effort for Celebration Park

Three recent donations have helped increase the Celebration Park Fund to $200,000 of the $250,000 goal.
Recent donors include:
Jon Clingman with his donation of $12,000 to the Celebration Park Project from himself and his wife, Julie. Director of Parks & Recreation, Duane Randall accepting the donation from Jon. Randall states “Jon has been one of the driving forces behind this project and the fundraising efforts. Jon has a special place in his heart for Vinton and especially trying to make Vinton a better place for all of us”.
The Vinton Lions Club, $5000. Duane Randall, Director of Parks & Recreation accepts a $5,000 donation from the Vinton Lions Club for the development of Celebration Park.”The Vinton Lions Club has always been a great supporter of community projects and the Vinton Parks & Recreation Department. It is great to see this very active club be a part of our enhancement to our community.” Randall shared.
Gerald & Weneva Pederson are donating $2,000 to the Celebration Park Project. “ Their contribution will help the Vinton Parks & Recreation Department get closer to the goal of $250,00. The support we have received from the community has been very overwhelming. The response from community members like Gerald & Weneva will help us get the project started this spring and hopefully be completed by the middle to late summer.” stated Randall.
