News :: VSHS Public Speaking students make speeches at Vinton library
· 11:43am October 26th, 2012
Kyle Dulin believes farmers should be able to use their tax-free fuel for their semis during harvest.
Matt Uthoff called for the cleaning up of the wooded areas north of Vinton.
Sara Jorgensen argued for allowing high school athletes to be eligible for waivers from PE class.
The three spoke at the Vinton Public Library on Friday morning, as part of Mr. Eric Upmeyer's Public Speaking class. The teacher thought it would be a good experience to have the students present their persuasive speeches in a public setting, rather than the classroom.
The public is invited to hear the rest of the speeches on Monday and Tuesday, from 9:15 to 10 a.m. in the lower level of the library.
