Where there's smoke...

Rain or shine, said Iowa Pyrotechnic Association President Charles Yedlik, Boomtown would take place. While organizers had cloudy but dry weather during their set-up days on Friday and Saturday,a light to moderate rain moved into Vinton Saturday evening and lingered through the Grande Finale.

While most spectators watched the firewroks from the shelter of umbrellas or the roof of the grandstands, many chose to brave the rain so they could get a complet view of the annual show.
