Sharon Rhinehart will retire after more than 18 years as the Children's Librarian at the Vinton Public Library. There will be a retirement open house for Sharon at the library from 3-6 p.m. Monday, July 30.
Librarian Virginia Holsten said she is looking for a replacement for Sharon.

The Vinton Public Library seeks a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic children's librarian who has a passion for children's programming and public service. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, ability to work well with children of all ages, a strong interest in outreach services, excellent communication and technology skills. A keen sense of humor wouldn't hurt.
Responsibilities of this part-time position (30 hours per week) include helping children in the use of the library and its resources, maintaining the children’s collection, selecting materials for the children’s collection, creating eye-catching bulletin boards and flyers, and many other unbelievably exciting duties.
