All charges are subject to review by the Benton County Attorney's Office. An arrest or criminal charge is merely an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Intrastate Warrants are issued by Law Enforcement Agencies for crimes happening in their jurisdictions.
June 8: Dallas P. Tullis, 19, Vinton, charged with Interference With Official Acts (Simple Misdemeanor).
June 10: Martin J. Lundvall, 40, Vinton, charged with Driving Under Revocation (Serious Misdemeanor).
June 16: Dean A. Uthoff II, 20, Vinton, charged with Assault Causing Injury (Serious Misdemeanor) and Driving Under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor).
June 18: Brian P. Schlief, 44, Vinton, charged with Theft 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor).
June 22: Shannan L. Hughes, 42, Vinton, charged with Public Intoxication – 3rd Offense (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Interference With Official Acts (Simple Misdemenor). Also, 2 Intrastate Warrants.
June 23: Thomas A. Kite, 19, Vinton, charged with Public Intoxication (Simple Misdemeanor).
June 27: Judd L. Fisher, 65, Blairstown; charged with Violation of a No Contact Order
June 5 A 14-year-old female was referred to Juvenile Probation for Possession of Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).
Twelve citations were issued in June. Five citations resulted from four state reportable traffic accidents, one for failure to immunize dog, one for curfew violation 3rd offense, one for possession of alcohol under legal age, and the remainder of the citations were for other traffic offenses.
Twenty-four written warnings were issued in June.
For the month of June, 203 complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.
