The Chicago Spazmatics will bring their humor and 80s New Wave sound to Party in the Park.

The Chicago Spazmatics and the local band Strait Run, along with Upstage (featuring Lori Ferguson) will bring help celebrate the 1980s during the 2014 version of Party in the Park.

This year's event theme is: 80s Rewind.

The three-day event contains all of the traditions: Thursday night at the courthouse lawn (following the Kiddie Parade and free hot dogs at Farmers Savings Bank; Friday and Saturday entertainment, the Riverside's Got Talent show on Saturday, along with a variety of other games and activities all three days.

Kids in fifth grade and under are invited to dress up and decorate bikes, strollers or wagons and join the fun while riding to the courthouse lawn! Activities: Face Painting, Carnival Games with prizes and Inflatables!

6:30 pm StraitRun: A great mix of classic rock and roll music for all ages.

6:30 pm RU Racing: Your chance to drive a race car like the big boys! Open till 8:30 pm

NO REGISTRATION FEES! Line up will begin at the Benton County Fairgrounds at 4:30 pm. The parade will start at the Fairgrounds and continue north down 2nd Ave., turn west on 6th, continue three blocks and turn north on B Ave., continue to 4th St. and will turn going east. Parade is held rain or shine.

If you want to be sent back to the '80s the only band to do it with is the Spazmatics. The band lends its geeky charm to the tune of theme songs and hits that shaped the decade of decadence.
