If you are interested in visiting the swimming pool but have concerns about negotiating the ladder or transferring from a wheelchair, we have solutions for you! The Vinton Community Swimming Pool is equipped with handicap accessible stairs in the 4-foot pool as well as a portable mechanical lift, purchased by VPRD back in 2011. This battery-operated lift can be transported to an area desired by the patron and is capable of transferring them from the deck into the 3-foot pool or the 4-foot section of the main pool. The patron has access to submersible waterproof controls for operator convenience so they may enter and exit the water whenever they wish. Available upon request, this lift can be setup and ready for use in under 5 minutes. You may even call ahead and we will happily have it ready for use upon your arrival.
Our staff has been trained to aid all individuals who need assistance and are always happy to help! Come in and enjoy the facilities, the water is great!
