New Vinton Unlimited Board of Directors Wanted! Well, not the entire Board, but we do have four positions opening on the VU Board of Directors and we'd like your help filling these positions!
If you're looking to get involved in the community in a unique and exciting way, please consider running to be part of the VU Board. I promise, the election process is simple and low-key.
The VU Board is open to any VU member - individual, business, or non-profit - and gives you the opportunity to be directly involved in the direction of our community. There are so many great things happening throughout Vinton and we look forward to continuing these various events, activities, and community enhancements with your help!
If you are interested in learning more about the VU Board and the opportunities being a part of this organization gives you, please call or email immediately! We'd like to get an idea of who is interested in running for the Board by Monday, December 9th at Noon so we can get ballots ready to go and mailed this week.
I know, this doesn't seem like much time to think about it, but hopefully you will take the opportunity to think about getting a little more involved in Vinton Unlimited and help grow your organization while benefiting the entire community! It doesn't matter if you've been on the Board of Directors in the past and would like to get involved again or if you are new to Vinton Unlimited, we would love your input! Vinton Unlimited is all about the residents and the businesses that make up our community! We'd love your help in continuing to shape our community for the better.
About the VU Board
The VU board is made of 11 board members and we are electing 4 this year. We also have several high school students who join us for board meetings and help with events. The VU board of directors is a three year term beginning at the first board meeting in January.
Currently, we hold our meetings at 7am on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Windsor Manor. Each board member is asked to be a part of at least one of our 5 committees: Membership, Community Affairs, Business Promotions, Industry & Development, and Destination Vinton. You're welcome to be a part of more than one if you'd like and you DON'T have to be a board member to take part in these committees! We'd love everyone's help!
Each committee meets once a month and then reports back to the board at the monthly meeting. There is already a lot going on with each of the committees, but we can always use more input, ideas, and help!
