Vinton-Shellsburg invites everyone to the Homecoming football game this Friday to honor the newest inductees of the Hall of Fame.
Please join us on Friday, September 20, for the 2013 Viking/Vikette Athletic Hall of Fame Induction. The Sophomore & Varsity football teams will host Western Dubuque, starting at 5:00 p.m. The induction ceremony will be held during halftime of the varsity game, approximately 8:30 p.m.
This year’s inductees are as follows:
John Anderson, Class of 1952, 5-time letter winner in Football & Basketball; (Vinton) and a lifelong supporter of schools, athletics and community.
Barbara Beyer Berry, Class of 1957, 4-time letter winner in Basketball; State Qualifiers (Garrison).
Donald Neve, Jr. , Class of 1979; 6-time letter winner in Cross Country & Wrestling; 2-time State Qualifier (wrestling).
Joshua Kauten, Class of 2000; 9-time letter winner in Football, Basketball, Track & Baseball; Baseball State Semi-finalists
Ross Timmermans, Class of 2006, 9-time letter winner in Football, Basketball & Track, 2-time WaMaC West Basketball Champions
1978 Girls Basketball Team: 3rd Place at IGHSAU State Tournament.
