REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 2014 A regular meeting of the City Council of Vinton, Iowa, was held on the 13th day of November, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, Vinton, Iowa. Mayor Watson presided and the roll being called the following Council Members were present and absent: Present: Bendull, Elwick, Hessenius, Parmater, Stark, Vermedahl.

Supervisor Frese called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. The board exchanged proposals for the 2015/2016 collective bargaining with Public Professional & Maintenance Employees, International Union of Painters and Allied Traded Local 2003 (PPME), representing secondary roads employees.

Patrol Division Activity Report for October 2014

Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 363 calls for service and investigated 28 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 176 civil papers and issued 61 traffic citations and 97 traffic warnings. There were 30 arrests/juvenile referrals with 32 charges being filed in October 2014.

The Commissioners will meet at 8:00 a.m.at the district office in Vinton. Items on the agenda include minutes from previous meetings, fnancial reports, conservation plans, Federal and State cost share programs, Watershed Project activities and other general business.
