Senate internships available, applications due July 15

Senator Chuck Grassley said today that fall internships for college-age Iowans are available and applications are due July 15. These Senate internships are available in Grassley offices in Washington, D.C., Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City, and Waterloo. The fall session is set to start August 26.

County leaders prepare to fill vacancy on Board of Supervisors

In a few weeks, Benton County Supervisor Jason Sanders will leave office as he and his family move to Utah to begin a new career. Last year, Sanders announced his intention to leave this summer. But he said this week that he has not yet decided when he will officially leave office. "We need to be figuring that out," he said.
