This year the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter is having their National FFA week on March 10-14th. The chapter is very excited for this week, and has many things planned for it.

Each day of the week is a dress up day for any student wishing to partake. Monday will be wear blaze orange day. On Tuesday, some of the chapter officers will be taking a trip over to the Middle School to do some recruitment of eight graders for the next school year. Tuesday will also be wear FFA Colors day, and there will be a raffle for all FFA members who wear blue and gold and enter their names. On Wednesday, the chapter will be providing breakfast for all of the high school teachers, and it will be wear Camo day. Thursday will be wear your favorite truck brand day. And Friday is tractor drive in day, with wear your favorite tractor brand day. There will also be another raffle on Friday, and a possible “kiss the pig contest.” This will be where student can put money in a jar for whichever High School teacher they wish to see kiss a pig.

These are our FFA Week plans so far, and we hope to get everything planned and ready to go soon. We are all very excited for this week to come, and look forward to the activities that will be going on.
