Events and Activities :: Lighted Holiday Parade, Lions Chili Supper tonight!
· 8:33am November 22nd, 2013
The annual Lighted Holiday Veterans Parade takes place Thursday, Nov. 21.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. from the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 6th Street. Those who want to participate are asked to line up on 6th Street, west of 2nd Avenue. Line-up begins at 5:30.
Everyone -- including individuals, businesses, organizations, churches -- is invited to participate, and encouraged to add as many lights to their vehicles or floats as possible.
The local American Legion Post 57, AMVETS Post 218 and VFW Post 8884 have joined forces to sponsor this event. The theme is “Veterans Are Always Grateful.”
The evening ends with the traditional first visit from Santa on the south side of the Benton County Courthouse. He will arrive via fire truck.
