Jimberly's Newhall plans two-day benefit in memory of Emma Redlinger

An Indianapolis Colts jersey signed by former NFL player (and Iowa Hawkeye) Bob Sanders and an autographed Danica Patrick jacket are among dozens of items donated for the two-day benefit in memory of Emma Redlinger that begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jimberly's Newhall. Many items and gift certificates from area businesses will be offered via silent auction.

Shellsburg Area Community Group Plans Annual Golf Outing for June 13th

The Shellsburg Area Community Group (SACG) was formed in 2011 as a community improvement group and has been successful in providing volunteers and funding for a variety of projects in Shellsburg. The group will be hosting their 4th annual golf outing on Saturday, June 13th at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg, with a 9:00am shotgun start.

Central Lutheran School to hold annual Kindergarten and Preschool Roundup

Central Lutheran School in Newhall is hosting their annual Kindergarten and Preschool Roundup in April. Kindergarten Roundup will be held in the morning on Wednesday, April 15th. Each child is encouraged to bring their favorite “stuffed animal” to accompany them during roundup. Arrival time is 8:15am and pickup is at 12:00pm.
