School’s back in session, so we’re catering to the adults this week.

“And So It Goes” plays the Palace Friday, August 22 through Thursday, August 28 at 7 pm, and Monday, August 25 at 2 pm.

Rated PG-13 and running one hour and 34 minutes, this dramatic and romantic comedy, featuring big screen legends Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton, tells the story of cranky Oren Little and his lovely neighbor Leah.

Oren’s wife passed away several years ago, and he hasn’t been happy since. The wheeling dealing realtor just wants to make one last million-dollar sale and retire. What isn’t part of the plan is having his estranged son turn up on his doorstep with granddaughter Sarah.

Oren is left to raise Sarah on his own, and forced to turn to Leah for help.

Yes, we’re open Sunday night, but patrons are encouraged to see “And So It Goes” on any other evening. You don’t want to miss Party in the Park, Take 2! I know it’s hard to believe after the past several weeks of drought, but last June our main entertainment had to be postponed due to a storm.

And soooooo, the SPAZMATICS will shock the park, Sunday night, August 24! You really don’t want to miss this absolutely FREE entertainment opportunity! Bring the whole family to Riverside Park.

Preshow warm-up begins at 5 pm with Strait Run. The SPAZMATICS take the stage at 7 pm, followed by the long-awaited, sure to astound and amaze, Bar Y Pyros Fireworks Display.

While you were all at the parade last June, Gerald and I were busy slicing lemons and restocking the Popcorn Roadshow, and the SPAZMATICS were tuning, tweakin, and all-out rocking the band shell! Oh. My. Gosh. They were amazing! School night schmool night – you don’t want to miss this!

And yes, we’ll have LEMON SHAKES! J

More great movies next month, with “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Into the Storm,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” “The Given,” and “When the Game Stands Tall.” Get your tickets at
