The countdown is beginning –it is 14 days to the debut of the “Mary Ingalls – Her Journey” on the campus of the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this historic event. Enjoy the beauty of Old Main and celebrate its comeback from the devastation of the wind storm in 2011. Listen to the magnificent organ being played after a long silence and view displays set up to highlight the rich history of this place. It is a history firmly anchored in Vinton’s willingness as a young town to open itself to this fledgling school and the students it served.

Many community members have spent long hours of rehearsal to bring you the story of Mary’s journey from blindness to hope and a successful life. You will laugh and cry as you see her story unfold.

Please clear your calendars and make plans to join us.

The performance dates are Friday August 1 and Saturday August 2 held on the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School campus. The doors open at 5:30 and the performance begins at 7p.m. with a half hour organ program and then the Pageant play. It is general seating and there will be a “Graduation Reception” following the performance that is part of admission.

Tickets can be ordered on the ACT I website www.act1.orgor by calling 319-214-0096 to reserve tickets to be paid at the door. The cost per ticket is $10.00.
